The assessment is required for all OICEW endorsements regardless of any limitations for propulsion mode and/or vessel equipment.

The candidate demonstrates the KUP by completing the written examination for the associated national officer endorsement.

This competency is demonstrated by successful completion of the written examination for a corresponding national officer endorsement.
